“…I am an ambassador in chains…” (Ephesians 6:20)
Paul was in prison when he wrote Ephesians — my favorite book in the Bible. That struck me differently today for a variety of reasons. Consider this:
Paul didn’t let his circumstances stop him from writing, working, and creating.
He produced significant work during a dark season of suffering.
His work didn’t require ideal conditions to have a lasting impact.
On an artistic level, I’m inspired by Paul to pursue what God has given us — even in the fire. That fire can both produce and purify the work God has called us to do.
