How to Hear the Glory of God
Can you hear God’s glory? We often speak in terms of seeing the glory of God—but can we also hear it?
I previously shared two specific places we hear God’s glory: in nature and in preaching. What does that mean for us practically? Here are two applications:
1. Listen attentively to God in the world around us.
If our lives are packed and rushed, and if we find ourselves consumed by busyness, we would do well to slow down, be quiet and still, and listen attentively to God as we move through the world around us.
2. Listen actively to God in the preaching of his Word.
If we are passive in receiving God’s Word on Sunday mornings, we may fail to recognize that we are hearing from God himself and engage with him as we hear him speak through his Word.
