My Memorial Day Weekend
This Memorial Day weekend, Jess and I were planning to go to Disneyland, but because of a chemical leak in nearby Garden Grove, we decided to stay closer to home.
I’m glad we did, though, because I experienced at least one life-giving conversation every day this weekend. And I really do mean life-giving, because each conversation gave way to God.
Even when the conversations were about our personal lives, my friends spoke about the work God was doing, answered prayers, and His presence in their lives. I’m grateful for friends who get me to God.
As fun as Disneyland would have been, I’m thankful we stayed home this weekend. Jess jokingly said it was better than Disneyland, but we both know that’s the truth.
Tomorrow, I’ll share a short encouragement about seeing Jess talk to some non-Christians.
