“Why didn’t you tell me this before?” This is what I asked my co-worker after she told me some of the darker times from her past. I wasn’t surprised at her answer: “There are some things you just don’t talk about.”
There are parts of our lives that, unless someone asks directly, may never come to light. And even when they do, we often keep them buried. Some things feel too painful, too messy, or too personal to say out loud.
But God isn’t like that. He already knows it all—our past, our thoughts, the moments no one else sees. And somehow, He still loves us. That’s what makes it safe to be honest with Him. There’s nothing we have to hide. Come into the light.
