Stop Talking
Hear His Word

“Stop talking!” That’s what Numbers’s cheerleading coach told the class. They were especially chatty that afternoon, and the coach needed them to be quiet. She later told us parents that she knows it might sound harsh, but the reason she needs them to stop talking is so the girls can actually pay attention — for their own safety. They’re doing physical things, and the coach wants to make sure everyone can hear the instructions and not get hurt.
I like to think I’m pretty good at censoring the words that come out of my mouth — but I’m not always great at quieting the thoughts that come out of my mind. I can fill my headspace with all kinds of mental chatter, especially in busy, anxious, stressful seasons. And honestly, it can be just as dangerous.
Sometimes, we need to stop talking and start listening to the Lord — to hear His word, and maybe not get hurt.

AI Goes to Church
In AI Goes to Church (link opens to giveaway and review), Todd Korpi presents pastoral wisdom for artificial intelligence. This is a thought-provoking book that pushes the conversation of how Christians live in a world with AI. Reading this book brought to my attention topics I had not previously considered, and it has given me the opportunity to reflect on them carefully and thoroughly as a Christian.

Why Ministry Partners Are Better than Instagram Friends
“True friendship is a gift from God, but in our digital age, it can be difficult to foster meaningful friendships. In this conversation recorded at TGCW24, Melissa Kruger, Ruth Chou Simons, Courtney Doctor, and Ann Voskamp discuss the blessings of partnering together in ministry. They stress the need for discernment, patience, and the willingness to risk being vulnerable, underscoring the significance of local church communities and the role of the Holy Spirit in fostering deep, enduring friendships that point to Christ.”
