Treasure Maps
Finding What's Right in Front of Me

The boys are into treasure maps right now. They’ll draw the map, but then they’ll sort of just show me where the treasure is. Sometimes, it’s right in front of me the whole time.
I guess that’s a good thing, since I can’t really decipher their maps—and I’m not quite sure they’re accurate anyway, haha. Plus, they don’t really tell me what the treasure actually is. I’ll still look around, though, and they’ll congratulate me when I find it.
As I sit outside their room, writing this email, I thank God for showing me today the treasure of playing with my sons—right in front of me the whole time.

Abigail and the Waterfall
In Abigail and the Waterfall (link opens to giveaway and review), Sandra L. Richter tells a delightful story about loving God’s good earth. This book teaches children about the importance of stewardship and caring for God’s creation. It’s a joyful, faith-filled reminder to love the world, to get outside and explore it, and to worship the God who made it.
